Opened in 1964, Crystal Palace has regularly hosted major sporting events such as London Athletics Grand Prix and is one of six national sports centres managed by Sport England. Aside from London’s only 50m swimming pool, other facilities include a climbing wall, squash, basketball, volleyball, trampolining, karate, aerobics, weight training, netball, hockey, tennis, badminton, and gymnastics. The Grade II listed athletics stadium can hold up to 20,000 fans and its grounds were formerly occupied by a football stadium which hosted the FA Cup Final between 1895 and 1914.
