Founded in 1908 Wimbledon Common Golf Club was originally known as Wimbledon Town Golf Club. There is a great tradition of playing golf on Wimbledon Common, and none more so at this club. Founded by the townspeople of the borough, Wimbledon Common Golf Club prides itself on being an accessible source to golf for everyone, regardless of their means or social status. The course runs along the northern edge of the Common and is extremely popular with both locals and visitors. The club also has good facilities including a bar, restaurant and pro-shop.
