Woking Football Club has a long and illustrious history. It was established in 1889 by a group of local sport enthusiasts and since that time has enjoyed a large local following. At the time of writing, the club plays in the Conference, just below the professional Football League. Throughout the years the club have had many famous FA Cup runs and continue to be one of the country's better known lower league sides.
