Narrowboat hire of diesel or electric boats is available at weekly or daily rates. Boats are each named after a Welsh castle, and all very warm, comfortable and fully equipped to provide a calm, independent holiday on the Monmouth-Brecon Canal. Castle Narrowboats is based at Gilwern, which is midway along the canal. Full tuition is given at the start, and an easy instruction manual is provided for each boat. There is also a shop selling guide books and a selection of Welsh gifts and souvenirs.
